LAS VEGAS, Nev. - Top-10 finishes from sophomore Marisol Doglioli and juniors Cristina Felip and Brianna Maynard helped the LIU Brooklyn women's golf team to a second place finish on a windy final day of the Bucknell Invitational at the Paiute Resort in Las Vegas, Nev.
The Blackbirds finished the tournament with a score of 669. Lynn won the event with 631, while Tennesse Tech finished four strokes behind LIU to take third place.
Doglioli carded an 83 to lead the Blackbirds during the final round to finish with 164 for the tournament, and in a tie for fourth place. Felip and Maynard both finished one stroke behind Doglioli to tie for sixth with scores of 165. Maynard shot an 84, while Felip posted an 88.
Junior Alice Boothroyd finished the tournament with 175, carding a 92 during the second round to tie for 21st place. Senior Cristina Reynoso, playing as an individual, tied for 28th place with 180, while sophomore Victoria Fagan tied for 37th with a score of 183.
Lynn's Jessica Brady won the individual title with 153, while teammate Samantha Smolen was second with 155.
The Blackbirds continue competition on the West Coast this week, heading to San Diego for a tri-match with Central Connecticut and Seton Hall on Thursday, March 13.
