DANBURY, Conn. – The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) announced its 2015 Division I Men's Soccer All-Star Team, as voted on by representatives from the Division's member institutions. LIU Brooklyn's Rasmus Hansen was selected to the All-ECAC First Team after an impressive inaugural year as a Blackbird.
The Northeast Conference Rookie of the Year is the lone honoree from LIU men's soccer for the 2015 season, having paced the Blackbirds in scoring and named to the All-NEC First Team. The freshman midfielder was recently recognized by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) for his outstanding performance throughout the season and was selected to the 2015 NSCAA NCAA Division I Men's All-Northeast Region Second Team. Hansen earned NEC Rookie of the Year honors after finishing the regular season ranked third on the circuit with seven goals and 18 points. An NEC Rookie of the Week honoree back in September, the freshman also scored two game-winning goals for the Blackbirds.
