BROOKLYN, N.Y. --- LIU Brooklyn Men's Golf has been tabbed with an NCAA Academic Progress Rate (APR) Public Recognition Award, the NCAA recently announced. The honor was the third in a row for the program and is one of 27 overall for the department.
The Blackbirds were one of 89 men's golf teams from across the country to be recognized by the NCAA for their academic success.
The Public Recognition Awards are given to teams that earn multiyear APR scores that rank in the top 10 percent of all teams in a particular sport. The Blackbirds received the APR distinction for their efforts from the 2013-14 to 2015-16 academic years - one of seven LIU programs to earn multiple honors in the 12-year history of the awards.
