Lisa Pace begins her fifth season with LIU Brooklyn women’s basketball coaching staff in 2014-15.
Pace brings over a decade of coaching experience to the Blackbird program. In 2011, she was promoted to associate head coach, and works primarily with LIU’s guards, handles scheduling, and is the team's recruiting coordinator.
Pace joined the Blackbirds after spending a season as an assistant at Georgia State. Prior to her time with the Panthers, she spent the 2007-08 season at her alma mater, Eastern Kentucky.
It was her second stint with the Lady Colonels after serving as a graduate assistant during the 1999-2000 campaign. During the 2007-08 campaign, Pace served as recruiting coordinator under longtime head coach Joe Inman, who retired following the season after 28 years at the helm.
In between her stints at Eastern Kentucky, Pace spent seven successful seasons at Southeast Missouri State. She was the recruiting coordinator for a program that won back-to-back Ohio Valley Conference titles in 2006 and 2007, going undefeated in OVC play in the latter season.
In 2008, Pace was one of only two coaches selected to present at the FLBB International Coaches Clinic in Luxembourg, supported by FIBA. She is also the head coach of the USA Sports Reach team, a Christian ministry that travels to Brazil each summer, where they have won back-to-back gold medals.
Pace graduated from Eastern Kentucky in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science degree in physical education. She earned her master’s degree in sports administration from the same school in 2000.
As a player at Eastern Kentucky, she was a part of two OVC championship teams, including the 1996-97 squad that posted a school-best 24-6 record in earning the program’s first NCAA Tournament bid. Pace finished fourth in school history with 113 three-pointers.
A native of Huntsville, Tenn., she currently resides in Brooklyn, N.Y.
