LIU Field was completely resurfaced and widened in the summer of 2011, and is the home playing field of LIU's soccer, baseball, softball and lacrosse programs.
LIU's men's soccer program has a storied history, having made 13 NCAA Tournament appearances including an NCAA Finals appearance back in 1966.
The women's soccer team has emerged as one of the best teams in the Northeast Region, winning three conference titles since 1999.
The LIU baseball team set a program record for wins in a season in 2011 and has the most victories over a two-year span in school history from 2011-12 (50).
LIU's softball team has won 13 Northeast Conference championships in its storied history, the most championships won by any individual sport team in conference history.
Lacrosse is one of the newest sports at LIU having begun competition in 2003.
