Terrell Coburn begins his fourth season on the LIU Brooklyn women's basketball coaching staff in 2014-15. Coburn came to downtown Brooklyn from Central Arkansas, where he served on the women's basketball staff for two seasons.
“We're excited to have Terrell as a part of our staff,” Striegler said. “He brings great energy and excitement to the program. He's a hard worker and we love having him.”
Coburn works primarily with the LIU guards, and is heavily involved with recruiting, scouting opponents, game preparation and scheduling.
In his tenure at Central Arkansas, Coburn served as a graduate assistant for one season. He spent his second year there as the director of player development and assistant strength coach. Coburn supervised preseason workouts, organized team travel and had a hand in the team's academic progress. In addition, he developed scouting reports, broke down video and assisted with practices.
Coburn earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in business and marketing from Central Arkansas in 2008. He added a Master of Science degree in kinesiology in 2010.
