Claire Brady enters her third season with the LIU Brooklyn women’s lacrosse team as a graduate assistant coach in 2015-16. Before her time in downtown Brooklyn, Brady was a four-year member of the Hofstra women’s lacrosse team.
While at Hofstra, Brady appeared in 67 games for the Pride as an attacker. During her first three seasons she was consistently ranked in the top of the team for points and assists before suffering a torn labrum injury. She was also a four-year recipient of the CAA Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll award.
“Claire has a very high lacrosse IQ. She will always resonate in my mind as a player who understands X’s and O’s and more importantly sees everything two steps ahead. Known as a creator and a clutch player in high pressure situations, I am confident she will be a huge asset to our program moving forward.”
Brady will work primarily with the attack on developing motions, working on proper stickwork and shooting technique as well as tackling redefense.
Brady graduated from Hofstra with a degree in early childhood education in 2013 and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Education.
