Nathan Bell begins his second season as part of the men’s soccer coaching staff at LIU Brooklyn. In his first season, the Blackbirds made it to the NEC Championships for the first time in 10 years. Prior to his arrival at LIU, Bell was the head men’s soccer coach at John Jay College in Manhattan.

At John Jay, Bell led the Bloodhounds to a postseason appearance in the CUNYAC Championships, and had a player named to the 2013 All-CUNYAC second team.

Prior to arriving in Brooklyn, Bell worked as a youth soccer coach for the New York Red Bulls, an assistant coach for Tompkins-Cortland Community College, and the head coach of the TC United Meteors U-14 team.

Bell currently heads Park Slope United, a youth soccer development program, located in Brooklyn.

Bell was a member of the soccer team at Ithaca College and graduated in 2009 with a degree in creative writing. He received his M.S. in Sport Psychology from Ithaca in 2012. He also holds a United States Soccer Federation “C” coaching license.
