Chuck Bridge begins his fourth year as an assistant coach in this his second stint at LIU Brooklyn as a member of the men's basketball staff in 2015-16.
A former director basketball operations with the Blackbirds from 2006-08, Bridge spent the 2011-12 season with Dartmouth as an assistant coach prior to returning to the Downtown Brooklyn campus.
While with the Big Green, Bridge assisted in all aspects of the program. Prior to his year in Hanover, N.H., he spent a season as an assistant at Trinity College in Hartford, Conn.
As the recruiting coordinator for the Bantams, Bridge played a critical role in securing commitments from 10 student-athletes and helping Trinity to a 14-12 record and a trip to the NESCAC semifinals.
Before his time at Trinity, he worked at the University of New Haven in the Northeast-10 Conference for one season. In 2008-09, Bridge was an assistant at American International, recruiting across New England as well as New Jersey, Pennsylvania and New York City.
At both New Haven and Trinity, Bridge served as the top assistant with a hand in all aspects of the programs, including recruiting, breaking down film and organizing practices.
He began his coaching career as a volunteer assistant at Wilbraham and Monson Academy during his sophomore year of college, then was hired by the school for his last two years. He began his collegiate coaching career at Rutgers-Newark University, where he spent one season.
A member of the basketball team as a freshman at Springfield College, Bridge graduated in 2005 with a degree in psychology. While at LIU, Bridge completed his master’s degree in social science in 2009.
