Bobby Corbo begins his fourth season as the assistant golf coach at Long Island University. Corbo, who is currently the director of instruction at the Mercer County Golf Academy, boasts over 30 years of teaching experience in the New York/New Jersey area. Corbo’s students include NCAA, LPGA, Futures Tour, Canadian and PGA tour players.

 

Corbo has served as the head teaching professional at Tee It Up in Farmingdale, N.J., and was the lead teaching professional at Battleground Country Club in Manalapan, N.J. Throughout his career, he has been published in local newspapers and magazines and in 2003 was featured in the nationally-published Golf Illustrated.

 

During his playing career, he was heavily involved in amateur tournaments including various statewide tournaments. Corbo qualified for the USGA Mid-Amateur twice, once as the medalist. As a professional, Corbo played on the New England Professional Golf Tour and achieved exemptions for the Nitro Senior and American Senior Tour.

 

Corbo resides in Manalapan, N.J.
