Casey Bray joined the LIU Brooklyn women’s basketball staff as the Director of Basketball Operations in September of 2016 and was elevated to Assistant Coach in the Fall of 2017.
 
Bray played for LIU Brooklyn head coach Stephanie Del Preore for two seasons when she was the head coach at the University of Bridgeport. Bray spent four seasons as a forward with the Purple Knights, from 2011-14 and graduated in 2015. In her four-year career, she played in nearly every single game for Bridgeport, and finished her career with 95 game appearances, and over 1,440 minutes played for the Knights.
 
Off the court, Bray organized multiple fundraisers as an undergraduate, including raising over $3,000 for Donate Life. She also served on the university’s Student Athletic Advisory Committee, where she led the school’s fundraising for the Make a Wish foundation.
 
While in school, Bray spent time as an assistant coach for the Staten Island Stingrays AAU program, working with 9-12 year old girls. After she graduated in 2015, the Staten Island native volunteered as an assistant coach at her alma mater, the Staten Island Academy. Bray worked to develop players and assisted with game planning. Bray’s guidance helped lead State Island Academy to a state championship in 2015.
