Lonnie Barton: The program-changing golf coach who passed away at the age of 51 after battle with cancer, Barton was named Northeast Conference Men's Golf Coach of the Year in 2004, leading the team to its first NEC title in his final season as head coach. He was also named NEC Women's Golf Coach of the Year after a second-place finish at the NEC Tournament in 2002, and oversaw the program's start the year prior. Overall, he coached eight all-conference players and led his teams to a pair of tournament titles during his tenure.
