Chris Zook is the first member of the LIU Brooklyn wrestling program to ever be enshrined into the Athletics Hall of Fame. A two-time captain, Zook lost just two dual meet matches during his entire career at LIU Brooklyn and helped the Blackbirds to winning seasons in each of his years on varsity.

A recipient of the Coaches Award, the Provost Award and a Teaching Fellow, he would become an assistant coach for the Blackbirds for two seasons and was a pioneer in the development and implementation of wrestling curriculums in New York City Public Schools.
