Jineea Butler finished her career as one of the most dominating low-post players in LIU’s history after playing on the women's basketball team 1993-97.
She is one of only two players in school history to collect at least 1,000 points and 1,000 rebounds. Butler became the all-time leading rebounder 1,039 rebounds and at the time of her graduation she ranked second at LIU and third in Northeast Conference annals with 1,298 points.
A two-time All-NEC performer, she was named to the first team as a senior in 1996-97 after averaging 13.3 points and 9.9 rebounds.
