Tisha Franklin helped establish LIU as one of the top track and field squads in the Northeast Conference during her career, leading it to a third place finish at both the indoor and outdoor championships in 1998.
Franklin graduated with six school records – three indoor and three outdoors – and set the NEC record in the 55m dash with a time of 7.03 seconds set in 1998.
She won eight individual titles over a two-year span, capturing back-to-back titles at the indoor championships in the 55m and 200m dashes and consecutive titles in the 100m and 200m dashes at the outdoor championships.
