Walter Jones was a standout on the hardcourt for the Blackbirds from 1969-72. He paced the team in scoring for two consecutive seasons, registering just over 17 points in each campaign.
Jones led the team in rebounding for three straight seasons, averaging 10.1 per game over his career.
The tremendous athlete scored over 1,100 points in his career, which ranked him 17th in the LIU record book at the time of his induction.
