Margaret Nolan (1986-89) is considered the top cross country performer in LIU history. She capped her standout career by capturing the individual crown at the 1989 Northeast Conference Championships.
Nolan placed second individually the three previous seasons, leading the Blackbirds to consecutive NEC team titles (1986-1988) during that span.
