Joe Griffin played for the men’s basketball team from 1991-95 and graduated as the program’s all-time leading scorer with 1,830 points – a mark that still stands. Griffin, a two-time first team all-conference selection, led the team in scoring in three different seasons, including a Northeast Conference-leading 25.8 points per game in 1994-95. He was named the NEC Player of the Year in 1994-95 and also earned the prestigious Haggerty Award as the top player in the metropolitan area.
