Neal Baskin played at LIU from 1964-66 and posted a .336 career batting average with 60 runs batted in and seven home runs. He was named to the All-Greater New York Area team in 1965 when he hit an astounding .423 with 25 runs scored, four home runs, three triples and stole nine bases – all team-highs. He was later drafted by the Minnesota Twins in 1966.
