Stephanie White was the definition of a student-athlete while playing softball at LIU from 1996-99. She graduated as the school’s all-time leader with 16 home runs and added 91 career RBIs while hitting .316. She was a two-time all-conference selection and the NEC Player of the Year in 1997 after hitting .351 with six homers and 34 RBIs. She led LIU to the NEC title and its first NCAA Tournament in 1999 when she was also named a GTE Academic All-American and the NEC Softball Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
