After competing for the Blackbirds from 1998-2003, Harris graduated as the holder of six school records: 55-meter indoor hurdles (8.10), 60-meter indoor hurdles (8.54), indoor triple jump (40-1 3/4), indoor long jump (19-11), outdoor triple jump (40-4) and outdoor long jump (19-6 1/4). She was also a member of the school-record holding 4x100-meter relay (46.49). Harris earned Northeast Conference Women's Most Valuable Performer honors at the 2002 and 2003 Indoor Championships, helping LIU to consecutive titles. She was also named the 2003 Indoor Championships Most Outstanding Performer. Harris holds the NEC Indoor Championship long jump record with a leap of 6.07 meters.
