Brooklyn, N.Y. - The Northeast Conference announced its Winter Academic Honor Roll on Thursday, which included 22 student-athletes from LIU Brooklyn. The honor roll included a total of 533 student-athletes across six league-sponsored spring sports with a 3.20 or higher grade-point average. Likewise, the league released a 139-member Commissioner's Honor Roll comprised of student-athletes with a 3.75 or higher GPA, which included five LIU student-athletes.
LIU had student-athletes from the bowling, men's indoor track and field, women's indoor track and field and women's basketball teams named to the Academic Honor Roll. Two members of the LIU women's basketball team were named to the Commissioner's Honor Roll: juniors Ebony Davis and freshman Letava Whippy. Freshman Brittany Hart of the bowling team, senior Jarenn Stewart of the men's indoor track and field team, and freshman Katrina Anderson of the women's indoor track and field team also took home Commissioner's Honor Roll accolades.
All scholar-athlete award winners must have earned a minimum of 60 semester hours, maintained a minimum cumulative grade-point-average of 3.20 and participated with distinction as a member of a varsity team.
