BROOKLYN, N.Y. - The LIU Brooklyn women's basketball team welcomes Robert Morris to the Steinberg Center for a Monday night Northeast Conference match-up, this Monday, January 11. The Blackbirds (4-10, 2-1 NEC) will face off against the Colonials (9-5, 3-0 NEC) in a contest slated to begin at 7 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
• LIU is coming off of a Saturday afternoon loss to the Red Flash. The Blackbirds rallied in the fourth quarter to close the lead to just five points with three minutes left in the game, but it would not be enough, as LIU dropped their Northeast Conference home opener, 84-75 to Saint Francis U.
• Sophomores Stylz Sanders and Paris Jones led LIU in the loss. Sanders had a career-high 14 points and six rebounds, while Jones had 12 points and three steals. Juniors Shanovia Dove and Brianna Farris added 11 points each, while Dove led the squad with nine rebounds. Sophomore DeAngelique Waithe added nine points in the loss, while senior Shanice Vaughan led the team with four assists.

ALL-TIME SERIES
• Robert Morris leads the all-time series between the two teams, 42-16, including winning the last eight match ups. The last time LIU beat Robert Morris was in 2011.
 
SCOUTING THE COLONIALS
• Robert Morris comes into Monday's match-up at 9-5 overall, and 3-0 in NEC play so far this season. The Colonials are riding a five game win streak into the Steinberg Center, including a 62-53 win over St. Francis Brooklyn Saturday. RMU has won each of its first NEC games handily, defeating Sacred Heart (78-63) and Wagner (64-44) at home, before beating the Terriers on the road this weekend.
• RMU, as the only team in the NEC with a winning overall record, leads the conference in nearly every single team category. The Colonials lead the conference in scoring defense, giving up just 59.2 points per game. They also lead the NEC in field goal percentage (.414), field goal percentage defense (.371), three point field goal percentage (.376), and  defensive rebounds (26.31). They're second in the league in scoring offense (68.2) points per game), rebounding margin (+4.2), assists (14.85 per game), and turnover margin (+0.62).
• The Colonials are led by junior guard Anna Niki Stamolamprou, who averages 13.6 points per game and 5.6 rebounds per game. She is also third in the NEC in assists, with 3.62 per contest. Stamolamprou leads RMU in steals as well, with 22 so far this year.
• Junior guard Rebeca Navarro is next, averaging 9.5 points per game. She leads the NEC in three-point field goal percentage, hitting 53.8 percent of her long-distance shots.
• Sophomore forward Megan Smith leads the defense with 6.1 rebounds per game, and 9.0 points per game, while sophomore center Mikalah Mulrain has a team-high 18 blocks and 5.4 boards per game.
