Madison Gomez netted a pair of goals for LIU women's soccer, but Fairleigh Dickinson scored three unanswered second-half goals en route to a 4-2 victory Friday evening. The Blackbirds drop to 2-15-0, 1-7-0 NEC with the loss.

Brittany Galske sent a shot, which was stopped by FDU keeper Amanda Fitzgerald. LIU maintained possession in the offensive third and struck first in the 13th minute. Senior
Brooke Logel set up Gomez, who fired a 25-yard shot into the net.
The Knights (7-10-1, 5-1-1 NEC) came back with a chance in the 19th minute. Julia Shea directed a shot, which was denied by junior keeper
Erin Harbison (10 saves). Two minutes later, the Knights tied the score on a goal from Dara Battistoni.
FDU, which outshot LIU 14-5 in the first half, looked to take the lead in the 40th minute, but Harbison made a pair of stops on Jessi Reinhardt. Four minutes later, Connie Lewis sent a try on goal, which Harbison stopped to keep the score knotted at one.
The Blackbirds jumped ahead in the 64th minute. Senior
Tori Shinkowitz sent a pass to Gomez, who buried her second tally of the match.
But the Knights responded Lewis knotted the score in the 78th minute. Then four minutes later, Lewis added another goal to make it 3-2.
Stasi Torchia netted an insurance marker in the 88th minute for FDU.
