BROOKLYN, N.Y. – LIU Brooklyn women's basketball head coach Stephanie Oliver has announced that three players signed National Letters of Intent to join the Blackbird family. Daisha Davis, Jeydah Johnson and Tia Montagne will join LIU as freshman in the fall of 2017.
Davis, a 6-1 forward and New York City native, plays for Park East High School on East 105th street.
"Daisha is a solid post player from right here in NYC," Oliver said. "She's an outstanding rebounder and has the ability to stop anyone in the paint defensively. We are glad she chose to stay home and help put LIU on the map."
Johnson is a Randallstown, Maryland native, and a 5-10 guard at Roland Park Country School.
"Jeydah is a versatile player that will add a lot of depth to our roster," Oliver said. "She comes from a top team on the east coast and really knows how to shoot it. She is a standout three-point shooter, shooting 44 percent last season, so we are looking forward to having her on the team."
Montagne comes from nearby Jackson, New Jersey, and is a 5-7 guard at Red Bank Catholic High School.
"Tia is a combo guard from one of the best teams in New Jersey," Oliver said. "Tia can put it up on the floor easily, and also step back and knock down the three. She brings a level of quickness to the game that we are really excited to add to our program."
