NEWTON, MASS.- LIU Brooklyn women's soccer fell to the Boston College Eagles, 2-0, on Wednesday afternoon. The Blackbirds drop to 0-7-0 in the loss.
Senior Hayley Dowd scored in the first half, and senior Andrea O'Brien netted a goal in the second half for Boston College.
The Eagles (8-0-1) controlled possession in the opening half. Dowd scored on a tick-tack-toe passing sequence in the 7th minute. Sophomore keeper

Madison Gomez generated a chance in the 45th minute, but her try was deflected over the net.
The Blackbirds opened the second half with a chance to tie, but
Jenn Peters' shot was denied by Boston College keeper Alexis Bryant.
Boston College, which outshot LIU 31-3, created a pair of chances to increase its lead in the 68th minute. First, Lauren Berman directed a shot which was stopped by Allmann. Then, McKenzie Meehan gathered the ball and her try was stopped by Allmann, who made 13 saves.
O'Brien scored an insurance goal in the 77th minute, which made it 2-0.
LIU Brooklyn returns to action on Friday, Sept. 23 when they host Saint Joseph's University. Kickoff is slated for 4:00 p.m.
