Shanovia Dove sparked a 10-0 run by LIU, and a three from senior
Brianna Farris capped the spree, tying the game up, 28-28, with 1:06 to play in the half. The Knights would score five points in the final minute of play, however, taking a 33-28 lead into the break.
In the third quarter, Boyd single-handedly kept the Blackbirds in the game, scoring 10 of LIU's 11 points. The Knights were able to slowly widen the lead in the third, eventually going up 49-39 on LIU. Boyd used a basket early in the fourth to cut the lead to eight points, but the Knights would answer with a 15-3 run over the span of the fourth period that would widen the gap to 20 points.
