BROOKLYN, N.Y. - The LIU Brooklyn women's basketball team welcomes Wagner to the Steinberg Wellness Center, Monday, January 23 at 7 p.m. Both teams will be looking to snap Northeast Conference losing streaks in the cross-borough battle.

- Wagner is still looking for its first conference win, as the Seahawks are
1-17, and 0-7 in the NEC under first-year head coach Heather Jacobs. Saturday, the Seahawks overcame an eight-point second-half deficit to tie the game up, 46-46 at the end of regulation, forcing overtime. The Pioneers rallied to outscore Wagner, 16-4 in the extra period and pulled away with the 62-52 win.
- Wagner is led by junior guard Tanasia Russell and freshman guard Kerstie Phills. Russell leads the team on the season, scoring 11.0 points per game, but Phills had led the Seahawks in NEC action, scoring 14.1 points per game in conference, along with 6.6 rebounds per game.
