MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – The LIU Brooklyn women's basketball team wraps up their two-game swing through Pennsylvania Monday night, taking on the Robert Morris Colonials at the Sewall Center. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m.

QUICK HITS
  • The Blackbirds are looking to bounce back from a loss to SFU. LIU led at halftime in DeGol Arena Saturday afternoon, but the Saint Francis Red Flash took control in the second half, using a late surge to take the win, 66-52. With the loss, LIU moves to 2-12 overall, 1-2 in Northeast Conference action.
  • Senior Shanovia Dove led scoring for LIU with 17 points, while freshman Aja Boyd had her first collegiate double-double, putting up 15 points and grabbing 12 rebounds. Freshman Gabrielle Caponegro added five points and seven rebounds, while classmate Autumn Ashe had six rebounds.
  • The Blackbirds outrebounded the Red Flash, 49-46, and outscored SFU in the paint, 24-16.
  • Robert Morris comes into the matchup 6-8 overall, and 1-2 in the NEC. Most recently, the Colonials fell to St. Francis Brooklyn at home, 56-49, in their first game at home in over a month.
  • The defending NEC champions were picked to finish second this year in the preseason coaches' poll, earning three first place votes. Senior Rebecca Navarro is next, with 9.1 points per game, while senior point guard Janee Brown is second in the league with a 3.57 assists per game average.
