WASHINGTON, D.C. – The LIU Brooklyn field hockey team fell to Georgetown on the road Sunday afternoon, 9-0, to move to 1-10 on the season. Stats for the game will be added when they become available.
The Hoyas scored just one minute into the game, and would increase the lead to 3-0 before the Blackbirds got a shot off. Sophomore
Madi Cook would have a shot blocked in the 15
th minute. Georgetown would score twice more before both
Eva Scholten and
Gillian Vallaster had shots that were saved by the Hoyas' keeper. Georgetown led, 5-0 at the half.
The Hoyas would add four goals in the second half, and held LIU to just one shot on net by Scholten, taking the win, 9-0.
