Women's Soccer Held Scoreless In Loss to Sacred Heart FAIRFIELD, CONN. --- The LIU Brooklyn women's soccer team found itself on the wrong end of its latest match, a 1-0 defeat at the hands of the Sacred Heart Pioneers Sunday afternoon at Park Avenue Field. The deciding goal came near the midpoint of the second half (73'), after a wide, long distance entry pass from SHU's Hunter Boland found the foot of Alyssa Hyland to put the Blackbirds behind. LIU struggled to create opportunities for its offense as SHU outshot the Blackbirds, 19-6 Redshirt senior Jenn Peters recorded three of LIU's six shots, including two of the three on goal. Junior Aline Allmann made eight saves in a full 90 minutes of action. NEXT UP LIU will open next weekend with a home matchup against Bryant on Friday, October 20 at 4 p.m. Players Mentioned Bio Aline Allmann #30 GK 5' 6" Jr. Bio Jenn Peters #5 F 5' 5" R-Sr.
