BROOKLYN, N.Y. --- The Northeast Conference released its preseason poll for women's cross country today and LIU Brooklyn has been predicted to finish tenth in the league.
Saint Francis U. was selected by the league's coaches to repeat as NEC champions, followed by Central Connecticut and Sacred Heart.

Adjovi Simpini (45th in 2016 with a time of 22:36.3) back in the fold as one of three seniors and five upperclassmen returning for the Blackbirds. In addition, Hunter will have five newcomers joining the team - freshmen

LIU will open the 2017 campaign on Saturday, September 2 at the Monmouth University Cross Country Kick-Off at Thompson Park in Lincroft, N.J. The Northeast Conference (NEC) Cross Country Championship will take place at Stanley Quarter Park in New Britain, Conn. on Saturday, October 29.
