LEWISBURG, Pa. – The LIU Brooklyn field hockey team fell to Bucknell on the road Sunday afternoon, 8-0. The Bison scored four goals in each half to beat the Blackbirds for their second win of the season, while LIU moves to 0-6.
 
Bucknell put the pressure on early, scoring in the first two minutes of action. The Blackbirds' defense would block several shots, and sophomore goalie Molly Jannell made two of her eight saves early on, keeping the Bison from scoring for another 15 minutes.
 
The home team would score once at the 18-minute mark, and then twice more in the final five minutes of the first half, taking a 4-0 lead into the break.
 
Sophomore Lydia Trout would get two shots off for LIU early in the second half, but the first was blocked and the second was saved. Bucknell would score four more goals in the second half, taking the eventual win, 8-0.
