EMMITSBURG, Md. --- The LIU Brooklyn women's soccer team earned its first Northeast Conference (NEC) win of the season with a 1-0 victory over Mount St. Mary's Friday evening.
The win was a significant one as it broke a six-game losing streak in NEC openers, giving the Blackbirds its first league premiere triumph since 2010.

Dana Wiesmore on the game winner 32 seconds into the second.
Junior Aline Allman made seven saves in her second shutout victory of the season.
