ANN ARBOR, Mich.— The LIU Brooklyn women's basketball team hits the road to open a four-game schedule in the final month of the 2018 calendar year with a trip to Michigan on Thursday night.

- The Blackbirds tried to overcome a slow shooting opening half, ultimately falling 69-64 to UMass Lowell at the Steinberg Center last Thursday. As a team, LIU shot a season-high .360 from behind the arc.
- LIU finished the game with four players in double figures. Sophomore Jeydah Johnson led the Blackbirds with 16 points and classmate Tia Montagne adding a career-high 13 points. First-year players Brandy Thomas and Ryan Weise with 12 and 11 points respectively. Thomas nabbed a double-double with a game-high 14 rebounds including 11 boards on the offensive end. Freshman Kiara Bell added nine rebounds and a team-high three steals.
- Michigan comes into Thursday's matchup with a 5-3 record, starting the year with four straight wins before falling in three of its last four contests against ranked opponents, including the last two games.
- The Wolverines are led by Hallie Thome who paces the team in scoring with 14.1 points per game and 6.3 rebounds per game. Nicole Munger also averages double figures with 12.6 points per game and her .439 clip from downtown ranks second in the country. Amy Dilk is the team's leading distributor with 3.9 assists per contest.
- It is the second meeting all-time between both teams. The first meeting was held last season in downtown Brooklyn with the Wolverines came away with a 86-49 victory at the Steinberg Center on December 2, 2017.
