Freshman Rachel Masullo led the team with four goals and five ground balls while senior Sierra O'Connor added three scores and three ground balls. LIU (0-4) got on the board with 18:41 left in the first half as freshman Amanda Masullo netted her third goal of the season and stopped a 4-0 run by Siena (1-3). Both teams alternated scoring the next four goals, with senior Mosal and O'Connor keeping the Blackbirds' deficit to three goals, 6-3. Two Siena goals extended their lead to 8-3 but LIU responded in kind with Rachel and O'Connor scored two goals in the final four minutes of the half to make the score 8-5. A final Saint score in the last 90 seconds sent LIU into the locker room trailing 9-5 at the half. LIU opened the second half by cutting Siena's lead in half in the first four minutes, with freshman Elise Person setting up Rachel and O'Connor assisting a goal for redshirt junior Dale Cosgrave to make the score 9-7. After Siena put home another goal at the 24:46 mark to extend their lead to 10-7, the Blackbirds scored three of the next four goals over the next nine minutes to trim Siena's edge to only one, 11-10, with 13 minutes remaining in the game. However, Siena found a way to pull away down the stretch, outscoring the Blackbirds 5-1 to close out the contest.
