MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – The LIU Brooklyn women's lacrosse team capped their 2018 season Sunday afternoon, falling to Robert Morris on the road, 18-8. Freshman
Amanda Masullo had a hat trick to lead LIU in the defeat.

HOW IT HAPPENED
	- The two teams stayed close throughout the first half of the game, but Robert Morris came out in the second half and scored seven straight goals to widen the margin.
- Sophomore Bianca Santucci opened scoring in the contest, scoring just four minutes into the game off a pass from senior Sierra O'Connor. Though RMU scored the next five straight, LIU would battle back.
- Santucci scored with nine minutes left to play, this time off a pass from senior Carlie Robinson. And just 12 seconds later, Masullo would score her first of the game on her own to make it 6-3.
- An RMU goal was followed by back-to-back goals for LIU. Freshman Elise Person scored on her own just before the four-minute mark, and Masullo had her second of the game two minutes later on a free position shot.
- Junior Dale Cosgave scored off a pass form O'Connor with 41 seconds remaining in the half, cutting LIU's deficit down to just two goals, 8-6 at the break.
- Over the first 13 minutes of the second half, however, RMU turned on the firepower, scoring seven unanswered goals to widen the gap to 15-6.
- LIU would stop the scoring surge a minute later, when Masullo scored her third of the game to make it 15-7.
- Senior Candice Mosal scored at 13:48 on her own, for LIU's eighth goal of the game, but Robert Morris had made the distance too much, and took the win, 18-8.
