BROOKLYN, N.Y.—The LIU Brooklyn women's soccer team concluded non-conference play on Thursday night with a 2-2 double overtime draw against Seton Hall at LIU Field.
The Blackbirds (2-6-2) struck first as both teams pushed the pace early. It was the rebound goal by sophomore
Kimberly Butland that gave LIU the early 1-0 advantage. The Pirates (2-3-4) brought the score even in the 31
st minute as Siobhan McGovern put back the rebound out of the scrum in front of the net off her initial shot that hit the crossbar.

nd minute for the penalty kick. It was McGovern with the boot to the right post to tie the game up at 2-2.
Both teams came out the gate strong in the opening overtime as LIU outshot Seton Hall 3-2 but neither side was able to break one through. The Pirates held the 4-0 shot advantage in the second overtime but the no chances within reach of the golden goal, forcing the tie.
