WASHINGTON, D.C.— The LIU Brooklyn field hockey team suffered a 7-0 setback against Georgetown on Friday afternoon.
The Hoyas (5-0) tallied its first score in the opening minutes of the game to take the lead. The Blackbirds (0-5) had a pair of chances with a three penalty corner opportunities shortly after. Redshirt-sophomore

Eva van Wakeren both had chances blocked by the Georgetown defense. Georgetown tallied its second goal at the 25-minute mark to take the two goal lead.
The home team continued to pace the game with five goals in the second half to put the game away. LIU had another pair of penalty corners to try and get on the board but redshirt-senior
Amy Reid's shot went just wide in the 65

Molly Jannell tallied 10 saves in goal for the Blackbirds.
