BRONX, N.Y. – The LIU Brooklyn women's tennis team fell to Big East opponent Seton Hall Sunday night. 7-0. With the loss, LIU moves to 2-2 in dual matches this season.
The Pirates took the doubles point early, sweeping LIU in all three spots. Seton Hall won in the No. 3 spot, 6-0, and clinched the point with a 6-2 win at No. 2. In the No.1 spot,
Anna Grigoryan and
Ana Leonte forced a tiebreaker, but fell to the Pirates, 7-6 (3).
Seton Hall also had wins in all six singles spots in straight sets, though both
Jessica Brzozowska and
Clemence Krug forced tiebreakers in their matches at Nos. 2 and 6 singles.
Up next for the Blackbirds is Hofstra, who LIU will take on Sunday, February 17 at 9 a.m.
