LORETTO, Pa.— The LIU Brooklyn women's basketball team makes the trip out to Western Pennsylvania to take on Saint Francis U on Saturday, February 23 at 4:00 p.m. from DeGol Arena.

NOTES  FROM THE NEST
  • LIU earned a 69-64 win over Sacred Heart at the Barclays Center on Monday afternoon. The Blackbirds shot a 58.8% clip from downtown, connecting on 10 three-pointers for the second straight game. The team also registered its largest rebounding margin of the season (+17) out rebounding SHU 46-29.
  • Sophomore Jeydah Johnson led the Blackbirds offense with 20-points to go along with 10 rebounds. Two-time reigning NEC Rookie of the Week, Brandy Thomas recorded her 11th double-double of the season with 16 points and 13 rebounds and classmate Ryan Weise contributed 14 points. LIU had five players with three or more assists and six or more rebounds for a total team effort in the second straight home win.
  • Saturday's matchup will be the 68th meeting all-time between both teams with Saint Francis U holding a 50-17 advantage in the all-time series. The Red Flash have won eight straight over the Blackbirds. SFU earned a 80-66 win earlier this season at the Steinberg Center.
  • The Red Flash come into the matchup 12-13 overall and 9-4 in Northeast Conference play. SFU ranks second in the NEC in scoring offense at 73.7 points per game. They lead the conference with 4.4 blocked shots per game.
  • Jess Kovatch, the NEC's all-time leading scorer paces the conference circuit with 22.8 points per game. Her four made three-point field goals also lead the NEC and ranks second in the nation. Courtney Zezza leads the league and ranks seventh nationally with 2.83 blocked shots per contest.
