2015:  Named to NEC Academic Honor Roll… Pitched in five games for LIU, including four starts… Threw a total of 15.1 innings on the season… Pitched five solid innings picking up a win at Savannah State… Struck out five in 3.2 innings of work against Iona.

2014: Made seven appearances on the mound for LIU… Finished the season with two wins and seven strikeouts… Gave up just two runs in 5.0 innings of work against NYIT to earn a win… Also had three strikeouts against the Bears… Earned his second win of the season with 2.0 innings against Saint Peter’s, giving up just one hit while striking out two.

2013: Made eight appearances on the mound for LIU, pitching 9.2 innings… Struck out nine batters… Pitched a scoreless inning, giving up no hits against Bryant (4/26)… Pitched two scoreless innings against Navy, striking out three batters and giving up only one hit (3/10)... Named to the NEC Academic Roll.

Background: Attended Farmingdale High School… A three-year letterwinner as a right-handed pitcher… A member of the Long Island Mariners 18U club team.

Personal: Son of Linda Gielow and Richard Lacko… Father played baseball at LIU Brooklyn and was a 6th round draft choice of the Detroit Tigers in the Major League Baseball Amateur Draft in 1986... Major is undecided.
