Background: Four-year letterwinner in swimming… Also swam for the world-renowned Nations Capitol Swim Club.... Made it to the medal stand in both the 100 back and the 200 IM at the 2017 Virginia 5A Conference 13 (Capitol) Championships... Finished fourth in the 200 IM at the Virginia State Championships in 2015… Won the 50 meter backstroke at the NVSL All-Star Championships in 2016... Also earned All-Conference honors.
Personal: Daughter of Chengai Zhao and Vincent Peren… Has a younger sister named Isabelle… Plans to major in education.
