2017: Redshirted the season due to injury.
 
2016: Started two games before ending his season due to injury… Had four strikeouts in 6.2 innings for the Blackbirds.

2015: Pitched in 21 games for LIU, including two starts… Was third on the team in ERA (4.17) and innings pitched (45.1)… Finished the season with three wins on the mound and 23 strikeouts… Did not allow a run in first 12.1 innings pitched to start the season... Picked up a win in his first appearance of the year, with 2.1 innings of hitless relief at Savannah State, including six strikeouts…  Pitched two scoreless innings in relief at High Point to pick up his second win… Recorded two strikeouts in 1.2 innings on his way to win number three at Wagner.

2014: Was second on the team with 18 appearances on the mound… Finished the season with one win, in 19.2 innings pitched… Also had 10 strikeouts… Pitched hitless innings against Mount St. Mary’s, Sacred Heart and ODU as a reliever…. Had two strikeouts against NJIT… Pitched two perfect innings against Bryant, with no hits, no runs, and no walks.  

Background: Earned a varsity letter in baseball at Monroe-Woodbury High School… Was named to the Rawlings/Perfect Game 2013 Northeast Region team… In his senior year, went 4-1 on the mound, with a 2.24 ERA… Also hit .325 his senior season.
 
Personal: Son of Debbie and James Flood… Major is sports science.
