2017: Redshirted the season due to injury… Named to the NEC Commissioner’s Honor Roll.
2016: Had a team-high 70 strikeouts in 60 innings on the mound… Pitched in 18 games, including nine starts, finishing with a 4-4 record… Threw six innings of shutout ball while striking out 10 batters in his first start on March 6 at Savannah State… Posted a complete game four-hitter (7 IP) with 10 K’s in a NEC win at Mount St. Mary’s in April… Also threw a gem in his last start, giving up just two earned runs in seven innings, along with a career-high 11 strikeouts in a win at Sacred Heart.
2015: Named to the NEC Academic Honor Roll…. Had five starts on the mound for LIU, along with 15 appearances… Pitched 35 innings for the Blackbirds… Finished the season with 32 strikeouts… Struck out seven in 6.2 innings of work in a start at Savannah State…Picked up a scoreless inning in relief against Bryant… Gave up just one run in a start at Hofstra, while striking out five.
Background: Four-year varsity letter-winner in baseball at Caravel… Also earned three letters in football, as a tight end, defensive end and kicker… Named football team captain his senior year… Named first-team All-Conference in baseball his junior year… Earned second-team All-Conference honors his senior season… Led baseball team to Delaware State Championship in his senior season… Also a member of the 2011 baseball State Championship team and the DII Delaware State Championship football team in 2012.
Personal: Son of Kimberly and William Hart… Has two older brothers, Thomas and Michael… National Honor Society member… Plans to major in biology and become a cardiologist. |
