2017: Drafted in the 40th round of the 2017 Major League Baseball Draft by the Miami Marlins… Named Second Team All-NEC at third base… Named to the NEC Academic Honor Roll… Named NEC Player of the Week once... Started for LIU in 46 of the team’s 50 games… Finished the season hitting .339, leading LIU and ranking sixth in the Northeast Conference… Also ranked fourth in the NEC in slugging percentage (.545), and finished in the top ten in the league in doubles (14), RBI (37), and on base percentage (.431)… Ended the season with 56 hits, including six home runs… Tied LIU’s single game record with three doubles in a win over NYIT in March… Ended the season on a 16-game hitting streak... Had four RBI, two hits and two runs, including a three-run blast in a 12-10 win over Mount St. Mary’s… Also had four RBIs on two hits against CCSU… Scored four runs vs. FDU… Drove in three runs versus NYIT, Fordham and St. John’s.
2016: Named to the NEC Academic Honor Roll… Played in 41 games for the Blackbirds, including 33 starts… Hit .256 in 125 at-bats, with a .329 on base percentage and a .384 slugging percentage… Finished the season with 22 runs scored, 10 doubles and nine RBI… Hit .452 over the final eight games of the season against NEC foes FDU and Sacred Heart, carrying an eight-game hitting streak into 2017… Was 2-for-2 with two walks, a home run and one run batted in against George Mason… Had two RBI in the second game of the same DH vs. George Mason.
2015: Named to NEC Academic Honor Roll… Saw action in 31 games for LIU, including 24 starts… Finished the season with 20 hits, including three doubles and a home run… Had 12 RBI for the Blackbirds… Collected six multi-hit games on the year… Went 2-for-4 with two RBI and a run scored at Wagner… Hit first career home run in 2-for-5 performance at Fairleigh Dickinson.
Background: Earned seven varsity letters at Conestoga High School in baseball (3) and ice hockey (4)… Was a two-year team captain of the ice hockey team, and was named team captain of the baseball team in his senior season… Named All-League and All-Main Line as a junior, and All-Main Line as a catcher in his senior season… Also was a three-time All-League goalie in hockey, and two-time team MVP… Helped baseball team advance to State Championship finals in his senior season… Helped lead hockey team to two Central League championships.
