2019: Started all 53 games for LIU, primarily at shortstop… Batted .275 with a .401 slugging percentage and .342 on base percentage… Led the NEC with six sacrifice flies on the season… Recorded a team-high 12 doubles and tied for team lead with two home runs… Finished second on the team with 57 hits, 36 runs scored and 30 runs batted in… Went 3-for-4 with a two-run home run against Mount on April 6… Paced the team with 18 multi-hit and 10 multi-RBI games for the season… Ranked second in the NEC with a team-high 147 assists…NEC Spring Academic Honor Roll Member.
2018: All-NEC First Team honoree… Started all 53 games he played in during in his first season in downtown Brooklyn… Led the team with 43 RBI’s (sixth in the NEC), eight home runs (tied for fourth in the NEC), 87 total bases … Tied for second on the team with 13 doubles… Had 14 multi-hit games including going 3-for-4 with two runs scored, two home runs, and five RBI’s in a win over LaSalle in May … Closed out the season with an 18-game on base streak (April 29-June 2) with a .459 on base percentage, a .365 batting average, 15 runs scored, five home runs, and 23 RBI’s during that stretch… Named to the NEC Spring Academic Honor Roll and ECAC Academic Honor Roll.
Background: Transferred to LIU after two years at Pasadena City College… Was the starting shortstop for PCC… Earned second-team all-conference honors in his sophomore season… Finished his sophomore year hitting .279 in 39 games, with 30 runs scored and 21 RBI… Hit .252 in his first year at Pasadena, with 40 hits, 34 runs scored and 19 RBI… Played for years of varsity baseball at Glendora High School… Also played football for the Tartans… Earned all-league honors as a both a junior and senior.
