2018: One of three players to start all 51 games for the Blackbirds... Started every game in the leadoff spot in the lineup and played left field… Led Blackbirds in sacrifice bunts (tied for third in the NEC with 9), and in stolen bases (tied for sixth in the NEC with 10); ended the season 10-for-13 in stolen bases (.769)… Ranked second on the team and tied sixth in the NEC in hits with 53… Contributed 28 runs scored… Had 13 multi-hit games including going 3-for-6 with three runs in a win over GW, going 3-for-4 against both CSUN and North Florida and 5-for-8 with two runs in a doubleheader sweep of RMU… Had an 11-game hit streak, batting .341 over the course of the 11 games... Named to the NEC 2018 Spring Commissioner Honor Roll.
2017: Appeared in 15 games as a freshman...logged a pair of hits including a double, two runs scored, one RBI and two stolen bases...recorded her first career hit on February 17 against George Washington, going 1-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI...went 1-for-3 against BYU on February 24...named to the NFCA All-America Scholar Athlete, NEC Spring Commissioner's and NEC Spring Academic Honor Roll lists.
Background: Played four years at Murrieta Valley High School...earned a league championship and CIF semifinalist appearance in 2015...named an athletic scholar-athlete in 2015 & 2016...batted over .300 for her career.
Personal: Daughter of Susan and Gregory Hinkle...has four other siblings - Christina, Stephanie, Hollie and Jared...Hollie also played softball at the University of Pikeville...plans to work in broadcasting or media. |
