Erica Keil joined the LIU Brooklyn women’s soccer coaching staff as an assistant coach in the spring of 2018. She came to downtown Brooklyn after two seasons as an assistant coach with the North Carolina Wesleyan women's soccer program.
Prior to Wesleyan, Keil enjoyed a successful two-year coaching stint at Wesley College, where she worked primarily with goalkeepers from both the Wolverine men's and women's programs.
Keil is a 2014 graduate of Virginia Wesleyan College, with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and an emphasis on Special and Elementary Education. As a student-athlete, she was a three-time All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference selection at goalkeeper, earning first team All-Conference honors as a junior in 2012, as well as second team All-VaSID and All-Region accolades.
Her collegiate career with the Marlins saw Keil record 122 saves and 16 shutouts, allowing just 22 goals in nearly 3,100 minutes of action for a 0.64 goals against average. She helped VWC earn three straight NCAA Tournament berths from 2010 to 2012.
Keil also has several years of coaching experience, working with teams from U-7 through the high school level, as well as assisting with the North Jersey Valkaries, the Soccer Plus Goalkeeping Academy, and The Keeper Institute.
