Helina Simsek joined Coach Donovan’s staff as an assistant coach in September of 2018.

PRIOR TO LIU
- Simsek comes to downtown Brooklyn after a swimming career at Division II Limestone College, where she competed for three seasons. Simsek was a distance swimmer and held the school record in the 200 butterfly.
- Was a swim camp counselor at the Aggie Swim Camp at Texas A&M University in College Station.
- She has had more coaching experience at the local swim team in Recklinghausen, Germany where she coaches High School students, where several swimmers qualified for German Junior National Championships.

Simsek, a native of Cologne, Germany earned her bachelor’s of Science degree in Psychology from Limestone College in May 2017 and is a a member of Psy Chi, the International Honor Society in Psychology.
